Phoenix Suns reveal injury report against Dallas Mavericks

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns are doing well in the first two weeks of the new season. They will hit the road tomorrow night on a renewed six-game win streak to take on the Dallas Mavericks.

The Suns are 7-1 this season on the back of relatively strong health, improved depth and a change in team philosophy under coach Mike Budenholzer.

On the health front, Phoenix unveiled the official injury report for the game against Dallas – who they defeated on October 26 – with a mostly clean bill of health.

Dunn injured himself after recovering a loose ball in the fourth quarter of last night’s win over the Miami Heat, leading to a Jusuf Nurkic basket from 30 feet out as the shot clock expired. Gerald Bourguet of PHNX reported that Dunn’s ankle appeared to be swollen after the game, so it will be fascinating to monitor his status the next day.

Beal has gradually improved and should be fine tomorrow after dealing with several upper arm ailments over the past two weeks.

Josh Okogie is also not on the report, but has not appeared in a game yet.

Kleber was upgraded to questionable today after getting injured the first time these two teams played. He is unlikely to feature tomorrow, but a return appears imminent.

Lively was injured on November 3 and Washington the day after. Both have remained key cogs in Dallas’ frontcourt, so it should be interesting to see how Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd reacts to this development.

Exum has been out since the preseason after surgery for a wrist injury.

The Suns are poised to take on a relatively tight Dallas team, but ultimately they’ll still have to move past the likes of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.

Tip-off is scheduled for Friday evening shortly after 5:30 PM Arizona time and will air on ESPN.
