Two people were seriously injured after being hit at a bus stop in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Two people were seriously injured Saturday morning after being struck by a car at a bus stop in south Phoenix.

Phoenix police say they were called to the area near 40th Street and Broadway Road around 7:45 a.m. for a reported accident.

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman who had been hit by a car at a bus stop.

The two were taken to hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

According to police, the driver of the car fled the scene before police arrived.

Nothing is yet known about the possible suspect.

The crash is still under investigation.
