Have police solved the case of a Texas real estate agent who disappeared screaming from the mansion by charging his husband with murder?

As the one-month milestone of Suzanne Simpson’s disappearance passed, police announced a major update: Her husband has been charged with murder.

Now friends, family and the broader San Antonio community wait anxiously for more information: a body, a motive, anything that proves she really is gone forever.

She was last seen on October 6 by a neighbor at the $1.5 million mansion she shared with her husband Brad, 53. The duo had an argument and headed into nearby bushland, where the neighbor heard shouting.

Suzanne’s closest friends have gathered over the past month to keep her memory alive, sharing stories of a kind and vibrant woman who “made the world better, brighter and more beautiful.”

Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, disappeared from her $1.5 million home around 11 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, following an alleged dispute with her wealthy husband, 53-year-old Brad Simpson.

Brad Chandler Simpson, 53, of Olmos Park – four miles north of San Antonio – was arrested just three days after his wife Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, went missing

They raised $15,000 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and began educating women about the signs of abuse.

Securing a murder conviction without a body is no easy feat, but Suzanne’s loved ones have faith in the investigators, who themselves have vowed not to give up their search.

Brad Simpson’s own brother, one of his most outspoken critics, said the latest indictment “brings some peace to our family.”

“It is heartbreaking, but it gives our family some peace to know that authorities have collected enough evidence to confidently move forward with charges,” Barton Simpson said. MySA.

“This also helps us come to terms with the reality that Suzanne is no longer with us.”

A thorough investigation has already taken place into the Olmos Park family's four-bedroom, five-bathroom home (pictured), worth an estimated $1.5 million.

He said the charges will allow his family to “begin a difficult grieving process and focus on rebuilding our lives, especially for the sake of the children and our extended family.”

Suzanne’s daughter Chandler, 20, claimed her mother was a victim of abuse by her father.

She alleged that Simpson “took my mother’s life in a state of rage and control.”

“I will not stop speaking as my mother’s voice until she is found. I will forever represent all victims of domestic violence and abuse.”

“As my mother’s daughter, I will tell our story again and again. With every breath I make sure you remember her name. Suzanne Simpson was a victim of abuse and a victim of this community. Besides being a victim, she was a phenomenal mother, hardworking, driven, loving and kind,” she added.

Bail reduced for Simpson’s business partner

On the same day police announced the murder charges, Brad Simpson’s longtime business partner James Cotter had his bail amount reduced from $1 million to $100,000.

Cotter has been arrested on suspicion of two crimes related to the investigation into Suzanne’s disappearance.

He is accused of removing one of Simpson’s weapons, an AK-47, from his home and hiding it in his own home.

The timing of the bond reduction to coincide with the murder charges has raised questions within the close-knit community.

According to an arrest affidavit, Simpson texted Cotter the day after he formally reported Suzanne missing, writing, “If you’re in Bandera, can you meet me at your house?”

“I don’t have much time,” the original text read KENS5.

The charges against Simpson are gradually mounting

Simpson was arrested just three days after his wife disappeared on charges of domestic violence and unlawful restraint.

Two weeks later, new charges were added following Cotter’s arrest.

Now, Olmos Park police say there is enough evidence against him to move forward with a murder charge.

The exact details of the indictment have been under seal for 30 days, but police have revealed they are continuing to search key locations in their quest for justice.

They said a home in Bandera County remains a location of interest.

Police had searched a San Antonio landfill last month, where they said at the time “there is a good chance” of finding her – but have made no further comment on the search.
