MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – You’ll want to give yourself a few extra minutes when you step out the door this morning, as the fog burns away we have a really fun and comfortable day planned. Our next chance of rain will come later this week.

TODAY

Dense fog will be a problem for many this morning, causing limited visibility. As you step out the door this morning, it might be a good idea to give yourself a few extra minutes. A dense fog warning is available for Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Florence and Williamsburg counties until 8 a.m. Very little visibility this morning, you will want to take it easy on the roads.

Today and the rest of the week, cooler weather will finally start to arrive and we will see a much needed break in humidity.

A beautiful Tuesday planned, temperatures this afternoon will climb into the low 70s on beaches and inland areas with plenty of sunshine.

TOMORROW

The cooler air will be even better as we continue tomorrow; overnight low temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s and as we move into the afternoon temperatures will only rise to the mid 60s.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE

On Thursday we will see our second cold front of the week pass by. We’re giving you the first warning of showers and isolated areas that may increase after a few rain showers.

All told, we’re not seeing very high rain totals, but we’ll continue to take what we can get. The latest model data continues to show 0.5 to 1 inch of rain through Thursday.

Based on the latest data, the most stable rainfall appears to be in the north.

ON THE WEEKEND

The rain will stop on Thursday evening and Friday looks to be a very nice day as temperatures continue to drop and we will see sunny skies. A much cooler weekend than last weekend, temperatures will be around 60 degrees this weekend with lots of sunshine.
