Larry Kudlow: Only ‘crazy’ Democrats would be ‘stupid’ enough to oppose Trump’s deportation plan

Only crazy Democrats would be stupid enough to oppose President Trump’s deportation planand that’s the subject of the riff.

Just before the election, the acting head of Joe Biden’s ICE released a letter to Republican Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales saying, “More than 662,000 migrants with criminal records have been apprehended and then released into the country,” but there has been more.

More than 15,000 of them were murderers convicted in their home countries. Wait a minute, 16,000 had been convicted of sexual abuse.

It’s not: other crimes include 100,000 misdemeanors, 70,000 drug offences, 90,000 invasions of privacy and 16,000 weapons offences. Hat tip to TIPP Insights for the numbers. Bigger hat tip to President Donald Trump for appointing former ICE director Tom Homan as his new ‘border czar’, who plans to make amends Mr. Trump’s promised deportation planbut there is more.

Last year, ICE reported, as of September 30, 2023, there were 1,292,830 in the U.S. illegally who had had a full legal process and received a final deportation order from an immigration judge, but they are still here.

RISING DEFICITS THAT TAKE PUBLIC DEBT TO RECORD LEVELS IN 4 YEARS

Estimates indicate that this number grew to 1.6 million last year in FY24, and yet with all these extraordinary levels of crime, sex and drug trafficking, including the fentanyl epidemic, including more than 300,000 lost children and routine attacks by criminal gangs on the police, All over the country you have crazy Democrats in places like New York, California and Massachusetts who say they will not work with President Trump and Mr. Homan.

These are crazy people. California Governor Gavin Newsom said he is going to ‘Trump-proof’ the state.

The same goes for New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey does not want her police to participate in Trump’s deportation plan, but if you read the New York Post you know that uniformed officers and their unions are excited about Trump’s victory and his deportation plan.

I bet police across the country agree with New York’s blue line. For his part, Mr. Homan told several NYC officials, “If you’re not going to help us, get out of our way.” Spot on, Tom Homan.

Besides, federal law is on his side. The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 added Section 287G to the Immigration and Nationality Act, authorizing ICE to cooperate with state and local law enforcement to identify and remove detained criminal noncitizens who threaten security of our country’s community and undermine the integrity of our nation. US immigration laws.

In addition, under Section 212F of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the President of the United States has the authority to suspend the entry of certain noncitizens whom the President determines would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.

Despite the howls from the usual liberal sources, Mr Homan will probably carry out the deportation operation with common sense.

Earlier this week, he said his priority will be on threats to public safety and national security, as well as illegal aliens who have had a fair trial. Last month, Mr. Homan said on “60 Minutes”: “It will not be a massive cleanup of neighborhoods. It’s not going to build concentration camps. I’ve read it all. It’s ridiculous.’

The fact remains, Mr. Trump has repeatedly said he welcomes immigrants to the U.S. as long as they are legal. The president has said that foreigners who graduate from American universities should get green cards. He has also said he wants the US to be a magnet for the smartest people in the world.

Think of a few more million Elon Musks legally entering our borders, and hopefully President Trump can build on his legal immigration reform ideas from his first term, ideas that were blocked by a Democratic Congress, but if you think about the past four years and With the least ten million illegals crossing our borders – and perhaps the largest crime and sex trafficking in our history – you know full well why something needs to be done.

Crazy Democrats who continue to oppose criminal deportations, “remain in Mexico,” or finishing the wall will lose by even greater margins in the next elections. That’s the riff.
