Increasing clouds and rain likely on Wednesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Clouds will increase tonight. On Wednesday we will have a shower from the southwest in the early morning hours. Once this wave of rain moves north, we should take a break from the wet weather before heavier rain falls on Wednesday evening. A cold front will bring a period of rain that will affect the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Some thunderstorms may occur, although no organized severe weather is expected. It blows occasionally, with gusts of up to 20 km/h.

The wet weather will decrease early on Thursday, with breaks in cloud in the afternoon. Expect another big drop in temperatures, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Sunny weather and the more seasonal feel of fall will make an appearance this weekend. Expect highs in the low 70s, with overnight lows in the 40s.

THE NEXT BIG THING what we are looking at is another cold front that will impact the state next week. There is also a chance that another tropical system could move north into the Gulf of Mexico and possibly hit Florida next week. The next name on the list in Sara. Expect another increase in the chance of showers and storms next Wednesday and Thursday, followed by even colder air. I want to give you the first warning of the threat of a return of freezing temperatures on the weekend of November 23rd.
