Two men caught on camera smashing a gas station window

NIXA, Mo. (KY3) – Nixa police are trying to track down two people who investigators say smashed a gas station window.

The crime happened after midnight on Halloween. Police said two men were caught on camera walking to the Rapid Robert’s gas station at 229 S. Village Center St. in Nixa. According to police, CCTV footage shows the two men wearing a red and white camouflaged hoodie with the letters KCDC written on it and the other in a green camouflaged hoodie. CCTV footage showed the men throwing a large piece of asphalt through the door, shattering the glass.

“It doesn’t appear like they actually got in,” said Detective Noel Young of the Nixa Police Department. “An audible alarm went off at the gas station, and our officers were already around the corner, so we think that scared them off.”
