Tri-state woman seeks justice for her brother who was murdered in 2003

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A woman is seeking justice for her brother who was shot and killed in Cincinnati more than two decades ago with help from a new Hamilton County cold case unit.

26 years old Michael Worsham was kidnapped from Over-The-Rhine around Halloween 2003 after Antoinette Worsham, his sister, said she saw him for the last time.

“He said, ‘Sis, I’m going out soon,’” Antoinette says. “I said, ‘Okay, be careful.’ He gave the children some money and left. That was the last time I spoke to him.”

Records from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office show Worsham was found shot to death at 2026 Baltimore Avenue in North Fairmount.

“They shot him once in the back of the head, duck taped him up and threw his body in the woods where we are standing,” Antoinette explains.

She believes more than one person was involved in her brother’s murder.

“I’m still fighting. 21 years later, I’m still fighting to figure it out, and I don’t plan on stopping,” Antoinette declares.

Antoinette describes her brother as someone who will forever be remembered as someone who always put others first, was sweet, respectful and the life of the party.

Antoinette says she truly believes her brother’s story wouldn’t still be told today without the help of Hope Dudley, who founded a nonprofit called UCanSpeakForMe.

The organization brings attention to local unsolved cases, such as Worsham’s.

Dudley says she started her nonprofit after her son, Daniel Chaz Dudley, was murdered in 2007. His case also remains unsolved.

Anyone with information about Michael Worsham’s death is asked to call Cincinnati Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
