Patrick Mahomes speaks about ‘disappointing’ burglary at his Kansas City home: ‘It’s frustrating’

Patrick Mahomes has shied away from sharing details the recent burglary at his estate in Belton, Missouri but made it clear that he is quite irritated.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback admitted the entire situation was “frustrating” when asked about his initial reaction to the news during a press conference on Wednesday.

“It’s disappointing,” he told reporters. “I can’t go into too much detail because the investigation is still ongoing, but it’s clearly something you don’t want to happen to anyone – including yourself, obviously.”

According to a police file obtained by Page Six on Tuesday, one of the NFL star’s bodyguards reported the break-in just after midnight on October 6.

In the hours leading up to the burglary, Mahomes was gone in honor of boyfriend Travis Kelce’s 35th birthday at a comedy show.

It is unclear whether the athlete, 29, or his pregnant wife, Brittany Mahomes, and their two children were home at the time of the burglary — and Patrick could not confirm where he was when asked Wednesday.

“I can’t say much about the details of everything as the investigation is ongoing, but I’m sure it will be discussed at some point,” he said.

The NFL star also did not reveal whether anything from his estate was stolen.

Less than two days after the Mahomes home smash, thieves made their way to Kelce’s mansion in Leawood, Kan., where they stole $20,000.

According to the police report, the burglars broke in around 7:30 PM – just 15 minutes later the Chiefs’ home game against the Saints started.

In addition to the missing money, Kelce also reported damage to his back door.

Although the tight end’s family and friends – including girlfriend Taylor Swift – were in town for his birthday, they were probably all at the game at the time of the burglary.

After the match the group attended a private afterpartyonly to come home to the scary situation.

The ‘Catching Kelce’ star didn’t report the incident until around 1:30 a.m. the next morning.

Authorities reportedly believe the two attempts were linked to a larger organized crime group, as Kelce and Mahomes live on opposite sides of the Kansas-Missouri border.

TMZ reports this On Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigations worked with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Leawood Police Department to solve the cases.

Representatives for the Kansas City Chiefs stars did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
