On Saturday, just before 11 a.m., NPD received a call about a stolen 2012 F-150 from Platte County driving around North 3rd Street and Elm Avenue.

According to an arrest affidavit, the officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as 22-year-old Kobe Roan.

Roan was arrested after he said he purchased the vehicle from a friend but had no documentation proving he purchased the truck.

Court records show the officer searched the truck and found drug paraphernalia that field tested positive for meth among Roan’s belongings.

He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property $5,000+ and possession of a controlled substance.

While he is being held on charges in Madison County, further court records show Roan is under investigation after several nude videos and images of young women from the area were posted online in September.

Authorities said several women in the area, all in relationships with Roan, had posted revealing images or videos of them on a pornographic website without their consent.

Agents are investigating to determine who posted the images and videos, and three search warrants have been issued between Madison and Boone counties to allow authorities to search Roan’s phone and other property.

Authorities also believe some of the content posted depicts minors.

Roan has not been charged in the case.
