Kim Jong-un emphasizes the urgency of drone production

The report said Kim emphasized the importance of quickly establishing a series production system for these drones.

He said: “The world’s military authorities are likely to recognize that drones are achieving clear successes in conflicts large and small.”

The North Korean leader also called these drones an “easy-to-use element of strike power” due to their low production costs and wide range of applications.

North Korea’s drone development is linked to Russia

The development of these drones is reportedly linked to North Korea’s growing military cooperation with Russia.

Experts believe that North Korea may have adopted drone technology from Russia, which may also have adopted it from Russia Iran.

Iran may have gained access to it through hacking or theft from Israel, AFP reported.

In August, North Korea unveiled attack drones for the first time, which resemble the Israeli-made “HAROP” and Russian-made “Lancet-3” models.

The unveiling took place during joint military exercises between the US, South Korea and Japan in international waters.

Suicide drones used in escalating conflicts around the world

Suicide drones are used in growing conflicts, such as the one in Ukraine and the Middle East, to avoid the costly and deadly deployment of cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.

This isn’t the first time North Korea’s commander-in-chief has experimented with suicide drones.

In August, Kim oversaw a test of domestically made attack drones and declared that Pyongyang’s military should have them “as soon as possible.”
