Semi-truck involved in three-car crash in El Paso County

MONUMENT, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado State Patrol said they were called to a three-car crash in the area of ​​Highway 105 and North Washington in Palmer Lake on Thursday around 6:02 p.m.

According to state police, the three-car crash involved a semi-truck. One person was taken to a hospital and their condition was not known as of 8:40 p.m.

Monument Police initially said the accident involved the railroad bridge over Highway 105: “A collision involving a semi-truck and the train bridge over Highway 105 between the towns of Monument and Palmer Lake has closed traffic in both directions on Highway 105 .”

At 8:40 p.m., State Patrol said the railroad bridge was not involved, but Patrol was investigating the bridge after the crash.

As of 7 p.m., police said traffic was closed in both directions on Highway 105.

Police asked motorists to avoid the area and find other routes.
