Region 8 man recognized as hero after school building caught fire

BATESVILLE, Ark. (KAIT) – A Region 8 man was recognized for his bravery and quick actions when a school caught fire.

According to the Batesville School Districtsaw the local milkman, Mr. Phillips, Eagle Elementary on fire during his early morning delivery on Monday, September 30.

The school showed its appreciation by giving him a gift basket, a plaque honoring his service and handmade cards from students.
