Centralia man charged in two Barking Lot burglaries

A 47-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with two counts of burglary at the Barking Lot at 325 South Poplar Street in Centralia.

Charles Anderson of North Poplar is accused of entering the business twice on Oct. 28 and 29, about three hours apart.

Centralia police say Anderson entered the business through the same unlocked door on both occasions. The first time he allegedly stole liquor. The second time he allegedly took the cash register with him.

Centralia police say Anderson was easily identified through video surveillance at the business.

Anderson was released on a notice to appear at the time he was arrested. He is scheduled to appear on the charges Friday.
