Yellowstone fans say the character ‘needs to die’ and it’s not Dutton | Television and radio | Showbiz and TV

Yellowstone season five, part two, kicked off with a shocking twist last week when John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) was found dead in his governor’s mansion.

With only five episodes left of the main series, fans are panicking and expecting many more unexpected bombshells to come.

In the midseason finale, John’s daughter Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) immediately pointed the finger at her brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) as the one responsible for her father’s staged suicide.

Later, Jamie’s new partner Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) all but confirmed Beth’s suspicions by revealing that her team orchestrated the hit, although Jamie was seemingly kept in the dark.

While viewers expect a cataclysmic showdown between the two feuding siblings sometime this season, many also have Sarah’s death high on their wish list.

“I can see Sarah taking a train ride in the not too distant future,” said one fan Reddit recently, referring to the Duttons’ infamous “train station” where they keep their victims.

Someone else wrote: ‘I need Sarah Atwood to meet her ending in the most dramatic way possible.’

To which another user replied: “I need Beth to take her out.”

However, another post praised her as one of the show’s “craziest” characters, though they also suspect she will meet a violent end at some point before the credits roll.

“I assume she will meet a gruesome end,” they said. “I’m looking forward to seeing Beth play with her.

‘And who is crazier: Beth or Sarah? It’s neck and neck in many ways, but I might even be one step ahead of Sarah.”

The next showdown between Beth and Jamie will undoubtedly be one of Yellowstone’s biggest moments this year, but Beth taking on Sarah could be a TV highlight for the ages.

Another fan predicted a gruesome outcome to their confrontation, saying: “I hope Beth chokes her to death.”

Can Beth get revenge on the savvy businesswoman, or will Sarah and Market Equities come out on top?

Anything is possible, for now the ranch is undefended by its patriarch, although Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) travels back from Texas to be with his wife.

Luckily, Yellowstone won’t be coming to a complete end at the end of this season, as the franchise will continue with Michelle Pfeiffer in the upcoming spinoff, The Madison.

Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 continues on Sunday on Paramount and the following Monday on Paramount+.
