Police arrest two men caught making a drug deal in the parking lot of the Fort Walton Beach club

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Police arrested two men Wednesday after they were caught making a drug deal in the parking lot of a Fort Walton Beach nightclub, according to police.

Fort Walton Beach police say officers were tipped off about a possible drug deal at The Block nightclub. Police spotted Mitchell McNabb, 33, of Fort Walton Beach, standing next to the vehicle of Kareem Mitry, 31, of Freeport.

According to police, officers learned that McNabb and Mitry were exchanging items and a large amount of cash. Mitry’s vehicle was searched and police found more than $17,000 and 358 grams of fentanyl pills.

“The fentanyl seized in this case was all manufactured into counterfeit pills that appeared to resemble Oxycodone,” police said.

McNabb and Mitry were charged with trafficking in fentanyl over 28 grams. If convicted. they must serve a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years. They are both being held in the Okaloosa County Jail without bond.
