Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Center, has won the recent issues raised in court. A federal judge has declared that evidence obtained during the search of his jail cell will not be used at the disgraced mogul’s upcoming bail hearing.

Combs also managed to win in the recent development when Judge Arun Subramanian ordered prosecutors to destroy their copies of the 19 pages of notes seized during a search.

According to People, Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said in court, “When we visit him in jail, we have lists. Everything on these notepads are things we discuss. Trial strategy: who to speak to; to establish the credibility of a witness undermine. We’ll discuss everything with Mr. Combs.”

The mogul’s lawyer called the Bureau of Prisons’ investigation and seizure of Diddy’s notes to his lawyers “outrageous government conduct” and a “violation of due process.” Prosecutors had accused Diddy of tampering with jailhouse witnesses by using an unauthorized messaging app and multiple inmates’ phones.

Diddy showed up in a no-holds-barred khaki jumpsuit. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Slavik said the documents seized during his prison raid were extensively reviewed by independent government attorneys. These items mainly contained notes unrelated to the case, such as motivational quotes, to-do lists, etc. Although a few pages reportedly contained information about witness payments and strategies for finding damaging information.

Combs is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution after he was arrested in September and placed in a Brooklyn detention center. Prosecutors say he was the one who orchestrated events that forced other people to participate in lewd performances against their will.

Currently, two judges have denied Combs bail, mainly out of fear that he might try to interfere with witnesses. He will make his third attempt at bail on November 22, 2024.
