CSB to investigate factory explosion in Givaudan

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board is sending a team to investigate the Explosion of the Givaudan factory.

The council said a six-person team will collect evidence, document the explosion site and interview workers at the plant. The ATF said it was probably a cooking vessel without proper ventilation which caused the explosion.

The explosion killed two people and injured eleven others.

The Council also investigated an explosion that killed one person same factory in 2003.
