Man seriously injured in collision in Bridgeport – NBC Connecticut

A man has suffered serious injuries after a collision last week in Bridgeport.

The control room received several reports about a collision involving a pedestrian on Friday around 6:30 p.m.

It was reported that a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and State Street Extension.

Emergency services arrived on scene and found an unconscious man on the ground.

The 44-year-old Bridgeport man was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. He is currently in critical condition.

According to investigators, the man was at the intersection when a vehicle traveling east on Fairfield Avenue struck him and then fled the scene.
