A York County man under the age of 22 arrested in the Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force strikes

A man from Dover was one of those almost two dozen individuals were arrested this fall in connection with an alleged human trafficking investigation in Cumberland County.

Donald Miller, 57, was charged with patronizing prostitutes after the Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force conducted an undercover prostitution sting in Hampden Township on Nov. 8, according to a news release and online court records.

The task force, along with Hampden Township police, Pennsylvania State Police and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a total of 13 individuals during the Impact Demand 9 detail, the release said.

“The fuel that fuels human trafficking is the money customers pay for commercial sex,” Cumberland County District Attorney Seán M. McCormack said in the news release. “Operation Impact Demand is intended to limit the amount of money that ends up in the pockets of human traffickers.”

McCormack announced this this week Over the past month, 22 people have been arrested in multiple enforcement operations. The investigation included executing search warrants at two massage parlors in Carlisle.

The district attorney stated, “Cumberland County is ‘closed to human trafficking.'”

More arrests are expected to follow, the release said.
