Aspirus Langlade LeRoyer Memorial Walkway Event: May 24 | Press room

(Antigo, WI) – On Memorial Day, Aspirus Langlade Hospital will host its annual LeRoyer Memorial Walkway ceremony to remember those who fought and died for our freedom.

A short ceremony will take place on Friday, May 24 at 1 p.m. on the LeRoyer Memorial Trail, located on the north side of the hospital campus.

“We invite anyone to participate in this event designed to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Ben McCullough, Mission Integration and Volunteer Services Coordinator at Aspirus Langlade. “During Memorial Day weekend, we invite the community to place a red geranium in the driveway gazebo to remember loved ones.”

McCullough says the plants will be planted in the geranium bed.

Those planning to attend the event are asked to park in Parking Lot A on the south side of the hospital near Langlade Road or in the ball field parking lot near Second Avenue. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair if necessary.

The LeRoyer Memorial Crossing is located on the far north side of the Aspirus Langlade Hospital grounds. Located between the shores of Lake Antigo and Chemin Langlade. The footbridge appears as an artistic vision of nature in all its splendor.
