Kroger Grocery Stores to Offer Special Senior Discount for 1 Day

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — If you were born on or before May 8, 1969, Wednesday is your day to save at Kroger grocery stores in Ohio and parts of Kentucky and Indiana.

On Wednesday, people aged 55 and over will be able to save an additional 5% on their total in-store purchases of household items and everyday groceries. All you have to do to claim it is use your Kroger loyalty card (or the other phone number associated with it) and then tell the cashier.


There are exceptions :

  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco products
  • Fuel
  • Financial orders
  • Taxes
  • Postage stamp
  • Gift cards/certificates
  • Lottery tickets
  • Promotional tickets
  • CRV
  • Orders
  • Customer or Customer Service/Fees

“We know customers are stretching their budgets even further and saving every day with low prices, personalized digital coupons and weekly deals,” said Jenifer Moore, director of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton division. “This additional discount for our senior shoppers is another way we help our customers get the most out of their grocery budget.”
