Off-duty police officer caught colleague flashing in Hampstead Heath

An off-duty police officer was caught exposing himself to another colleague in Hampstead Heath.

Dariusz Alexander, 49, a detective attached to the Roads and Transport Police Command, was found guilty of indecency at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on June 22.

The court heard that two police officers were patrolling the north London beauty spot on March 18.

During the patrol, one of the officers noticed that Alexandre, who was off duty that day, was exposing himself.

He was arrested and suspended from duty with immediate effect.

CPS London North District Crown Prosecutor Peter Alexandrou said: “Alexander exposed himself to an off-duty police officer. His actions caused distress to the victim and there was a high risk that members of the public would have seen him.

“Everyone has the right to use London’s public spaces and parks without risking anti-social behavior. Feeling safe should not be a luxury for the public.

“CPS is committed to working with law enforcement to combat all types of sexual harassment and achieve justice for victims. »

Alexander was given a six-month conditional discharge, plus £625 costs and a £26 victim surcharge.
