East Feliciana High School track and field shines at regional meet

The East Feliciana High School track and field teams competed in the Class 2A Region II track and field meet in Lafayette on April 23.

Herman Batiste was the standout performer for the Class 2A Region II boys, finishing first in the high jump, broad jump, 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.

The women’s 4×200 meter relay group finished in fifth place, earning the team points.

La’Chanden McCorkle finished in third place in the boys’ shot put.

Kariah Dunn finished third in the girls high jump.

McCorkle, Dunn and Batiste all qualified for the Class 2A state meet at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium on May 3.
