Janet Jackson changes her plans for New Orleans. She was originally scheduled to headline the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on July 23 as part of her Together Again Summer 2024 tour, but that stop was canceled. Instead, Jackson is scheduled to appear at the 2024 Essence Culture Festival at Caesars Superdome on one of three concert nights July 5-7. Essence has not revealed the specific date Jackson will perform. This will be Jackson’s fourth appearance on Essence. She has previously performed at the event in 2010, 2018 and 2022. Those who purchased tickets for the Smoothie King Center show will be refunded. This is a statement posted on the Ticketmaster website: “You do not need to do anything. We will issue a refund to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the event organizer It should appear in your account within 14-21 days Please note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will be issued to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.
