Police help man with marriage proposal during fake traffic stop

CLARE, Mich. (WEYI) — A proposal is always special, but this one literally stopped a couple in their tracks.

David Yoder asked the Clare City Police Department for help in proposing to his girlfriend Morgan Bowers.

Officer Jared Stotzel stopped the couple and asked David to get out of the car.

The two pretended to sort out a license plate problem, eventually asking Morgan to come help them.

Little did she know, as she was about to get out and walk to the back of the vehicle, David was planning to get down on one knee and ask her a very important question.
