Gypsy Rose Blanchard spoke candidly about “hope” after surviving her tumultuous childhood as she flaunted her recent transformation.

The ex-con took to TikTok on Tuesday to reflect on her younger years as a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP) at the hands of her mother, DeeDee Blanchard, whom she pleaded guilty to murdering in 2016 .

She shared a then and now photo from when she was thought to be in a wheelchair as she posed with her stuffed animals outside Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 18 in 2009.

The 32-year-old also shared a modern photo of herself lying on a bed as she flaunted her new plastic surgery transformation.

“Stay positive, there is always hope,” she captioned the collage.

Gypsy spent most of her life believing she was ill while her mother struggled with MSP – a psychological disorder in which a caregiver, often a mother, seeks medical attention for a child’s made-up symptoms, according to WebMD.

The convicted murderer didn’t learn she wasn’t terminally ill until she was 19. She also did not know the extent of her condition until her arrest in June 2015, at the age of 24, according to News Nation.

After being forced to take unnecessary medication and eat through a feeding tube, she took matters into her own hands and created a plan to kill Dee Dee with the help of her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.

Gypsy was released from prison in December 2023 after serving her nearly 10-year sentence while Godejohn is serving a life sentence.

While embracing her newfound freedom, the “Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” star admitted that murdering her mother was the only way she could be free.

Gypsy openly struggled with her mental health after her release, but is working on “a journey of personal transformation,” including “physical.”

In April, the prisoner-turned-influencer underwent a major change, having a nose job and replacing her silver teeth with porcelain caps. She also dyed her hair blonde.

Since then, she has undergone several changes in her life, including going under the knife to get a nose job. SplashNews.com

In addition to changing her look, Gypsy also changed her love life as she divorced her ex-husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, after their prison wedding in July 2022.

She quickly moved on with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, to whom she was engaged from 2018 to 2020.

Shortly after rekindling their romance, they got tattoos and weren’t shy about packing on the PDA.
