Pastrami Dan’s, a restaurant located on US-41 between 5th and 6th Ave. N., resumed operations today after an SUV crashed into the dining room last Friday. Despite the incident, owners Dan and Beth Costaregni quickly got the restaurant back on track, with customers lining up for lunch as usual. The red Toyota RAV4 smashed a window after the driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator while trying to park. Fortunately, because the restaurant had not officially opened for the day, no injuries were reported. Regulars were shocked by the accident, but were happy to see Pastrami Dan back in business. Loyal customer Terry Barnicle has been ordering his pastrami sandwiches for 15 years. “We’re thrilled it’s open and we hoped it would be there forever, but we understand the building will eventually come down, but it’s a great, great place “It’s a place to come, we bring all kinds of people here and everyone loves it,” he said.
