Join us throughout May for an exciting range of workshops covering everything from Qlab and auditions to stage management and production. Led by industry professionals and seasoned theater practitioners, each workshop provides a unique opportunity to hone your skills, explore new techniques and connect with other theater lovers.

The Show Must Go On: A Stage Management Workshop 12 p.m.-1 p.m.

Led by a panel of accomplished local theater professionals, come and get valuable advice and insights from experienced experts in the field. Improve your theater skills with practical knowledge and industry expertise!

Mainstage Monologues: a monologue competition open to the public 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

Judged by a panel of professionals, come participate in our first monologue competition at the Silver Spring Stage. Monologues should not last more than 90 seconds. The winner will receive season tickets for the 2024/2025 Silver Spring Stage season as well as a full membership to the Actor’s Center.

The road to opening: a production workshop 12 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Led by veteran producer Karen Fleming, join us for a captivating discussion about the nuts and bolts of community theater production. Karen will share what has worked for her in the past and what to expect as a producer. We will be hosting a networking potluck after the workshop, so please bring a dish.
