St. Agnes eighth-grade boys finish third at Gering meet











Gold in the 400 relay and Coy Childers in the 200 hurdles helped the St. Agnes Alliance 8th grade boys team to a third-place finish at the Gering Invitational held Saturday.

The Crusaders had 77 points and Scottsbluff won the event with 143 points. AMS finished second with 109 points. The seventh-grade boys’ team earned a score of 26, giving them sixth place overall. Paxton Richey won the 7th grade boys pole vault for St. Agnes.

The Lady Crusader 8th grade team finished fifth with 70 points and the 7th graders scored 29 points which was good for 6th place. Gering won the 7th grade girls team title with 146 points and Scottsbluff finished first in the 8th grade division with 108 points. Six schools participated in the event. Reese Armstrong won the 200 for the Lady Crusaders.
