Golden Grizzlies claim top spots at Hillsdale Last Chance Meet

HILLSDALE, Michigan – As the season wound down, three Golden Grizzlies traveled to Hillsdale for their last chance meet, all placing in the top three in their events.

Oakland’s only runner was Grace Hungerford, who competed in the women’s 400m. Just like at the Horizon League Championships, she finished second with a time of 1:02.40.

The other two athletes representing the Golden Grizzlies were pitchers Romario Jackson And Alex Mansfield. Each competed in one event each, as Mansfield placed second in the men’s shot put with a throw of 16.63m, while in the men’s discus throw Jackson took third place with a throw of 48, 77m.

The Golden Grizzlies close out their season on strong notes, looking forward to further meets or chances to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships.
