County considers oil farm contract | News

The board will be asked to ratify a temporary contract for a fixed-base operator — a private terminal and fuel storage operator at Albert J. Ellis Airport — after commissioners approved a version of the contract in March.

“We anticipate that the long-term contract (will be concluded) when the new private terminal is completed,” said Onslow County Executive Jeff Hudson. The private terminal is expected to be completed after the airport’s new commercial terminal, he added.

Additionally, the board will review the job description for the health director, which is an annual requirement for the board.

Commissioners should also renew county employees’ BlueCross BlueShield health insurance contract, Hudson said.
