Evil villain Nathan Curtis made his return to the cobbles of Coronation Street this evening, leaving Bethany Platt stunned – with his left convinced he must be responsible for what happened to Lauren Bolton.

Villain Nathan Curtis returned to Coronation Street this evening – leaving Bethany Platt stunned.

Bethany was shocked to see her evil ex return to the streets after everything he put her through. While the others aren’t sure if it’s really him, Bethany is adamant Nathan is back and is convinced he had something to do with Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.




Lauren went missing – and is presumed dead after a frenzied attack – a few months ago and was thought to have been murdered, but with the body yet to be found, there is still hope that she is still alive. While Bethany is convinced Nathan is hiding something to do with Lauren, fans have been rumbling about another thing they think he might be hiding.

Sharing her confusion, one fan wrote: “Bethany would have been informed that Nathan was released? #Corrie“, while a second added: “Why didn’t anyone tell Bethany that Nathan had been released? #CorrieOthers are convinced Nathan was responsible for Lauren’s death, with another fan sharing: “I wonder if Nathan was the one who did something to Lauren? It’s entirely possible. #Corrie“.

Speaking about his return, Chris Harper – who plays Nathan – said: “I was emotional when I was told about Nathan’s potential return. In the 18 months he was there before, hundreds of people reached out to me. explained how the storyline reflected something they, or someone they loved, experienced. It remains important to keep them in mind as we continue Bethany’s story.

“Once again I am grateful for the continued support of Barnardo’s, NSPCC, SHEUK and everyone who trusted me last time. We have another chance to raise an issue that affects so many lives, so often shrouded in shame.

About his character, he said: “I love playing Nathan. He is funny, deceptive, slippery, manipulative and ruthless. Now he is also under a lot of pressure. This new storyline is absolutely full of twists and turns. C “It’s definitely good to be back on the hallowed cobbles. So much has happened since we saw Nathan sent to prison, but Coronation Street is one constant.”

During his past storyline, Nathan targeted Bethany and planned to have her transported to Belgium while her family begged her to leave him. Just before his kidnapping, police showed up at his home and arrested him a third time.
