DEADPOOL and WOLVERINE Stills Offer Spoiled TVA Clues, New Look at Logan, Cassandra Nova and More

Deadpool and Wolverine is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel films of all time and a new batch of stills (which appear to be from Empire) have hit social media today.

We see more of Wade Wilson’s birthday party, a snow fight, the Merc with the Mouth exploring – and eventually fighting in – the TVA, a new plan from the anti-hero and Logan, and Cassandra Nova in all its intimidating glory.

There’s also a great behind-the-scenes photo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in costume alongside director Shawn Levy.

The biggest reveal, however, comes in this photo of Deadpool and Mr. Paradox. Behind him, we see the Sacred Timeline branching out uncontrollably, just as it did at the end of Loki season 1. However, by the end of season 2, he had taken the form of a tree-shaped Yggdrasil, suggesting Deadpool and Wolverine takes place before that.

Maybe Paradox is enacting his own plan to save the sacred timeline? Speaking to the publication, actor Matthew Macfadyen hinted that his TVA agent has more to offer than meets the eye when he said: “He’s sexy, heroic (Laughs). He runs TVA and, at first glance, he seems to be very useful. He has a plan for Deadpool.”
