Prime Minister conveys King’s message to Egyptian President

Cairo, May 9 (Petra) – Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh conveyed a verbal message from His Majesty King Abdullah II to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during their meeting Thursday morning at Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo.
The message highlighted the deep historical ties between the two nations and underscored the commitment to strengthening them in all areas.
He drew attention to the unified position and collaborative efforts of the two countries towards an immediate and lasting end to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, as well as the imperative to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance. and lasting to the Palestinians of Gaza.
Furthermore, the message underlined the joint Jordanian-Egyptian rejection of any attempts aimed at the displacement or coercion of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. He urged the international community to act quickly to avoid further disasters, such as the impending crisis in Rafah, in addition to the countless disasters caused by Israeli aggression.
El-Sisi and Khasawneh reiterated the unwavering commitment of Egyptian and Jordanian diplomacies to the two-state solution, a primary path to peace and stability in the region. This solution involves the creation of an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state, with its capital in East Jerusalem on the borders before June 4, 1967.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Egypt’s central role in mediating the prisoner exchange negotiations, securing a lasting ceasefire, protecting civilians and ensuring the unimpeded flow of aid to Gazans.
President El-Sissi highlighted the enduring fraternal ties between the two nations and their concerted efforts to strengthen them, emphasizing continued coordination on issues of mutual interest, particularly the Palestinian cause.
The meeting took place in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo, Amjad Adaileh.
