Jordanian Prime Minister delivers message

Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh delivered a verbal message from His Majesty King Abdullah II to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi during a meeting at Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Thursday morning.

The message conveys His Majesty’s greetings and best wishes to President Al-Sisi, the Arab Republic of Egypt and its people for continued strength, progress and prosperity.

He highlighted the deep historical ties between the two countries and their commitment to strengthening them in all areas.

The message highlighted the joint efforts of Jordan and Egypt to immediately and definitively end the Israeli occupation’s aggression in Gaza, as well as the need for sustained humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians. He also stressed the rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.

President Al-Sisi and Prime Minister Al-Khasawneh reiterated the importance of Egyptian and Jordanian diplomacy in seeking a two-state solution for peace and stability in the region, with an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Prime Minister thanked Egypt for its mediation efforts to secure prisoner exchanges, a lasting ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

President Al-Sisi conveyed his greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II and wished him good health, prosperity and further progress for Jordan.

He highlighted the close fraternal relations between Egypt and Jordan and their continued coordination on various common interests, including the Palestinian issue.

The meeting was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo Amjad Al-Adaileh.
