Razorback Roadshow will include the Calipari stop in LR

The Razorback coaches’ annual spring tour visiting venues across the state to engage with fans will take place May 13-16, and it will include new Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari, who will a stop in Little Rock.

The One Razorback Roadshow, with Calipari in tow, will stop in downtown Little Rock Tuesday evening, May 14, at The Hall events venue. The annual Coaches Tour is held each spring to give fans the opportunity to interact with Hog coaches. The hiring of Hall of Fame coach Calipari from Kentucky in April represents the most dramatic hire ever at Arkansas. On Thursday, Calipari tweeted about his appearance in Little Rock.

First stop Monday will be the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs for lunch. The evening event will take place at the Lounge at Huntington Square in Jonesboro. Before the coaches arrive in Little Rock Tuesday evening, the roadshow will stop in Forrest City for lunch at the Legacy.

The roadshow’s Wednesday stops will be at Leon’s Catfish and Steakhouse in Pine Bluff and Madhouse 101 @ MAD in El Dorado that evening. Thursday wraps up the tour with stops in Texarkana at Pop’s Place for Fort Smith’s Uncork’d that evening.

The four-day bus tour will feature Vice Chancellor and Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek and other members of Razorback Athletics, including coaches, spirit teams and band members, as well as Big Red. The ONE Razorback Roadshow is part of Razorback Athletics’ ongoing commitment to being involved in Arkansas communities while celebrating the passion and support of the Razorbacks across the state.

Roadshow events include free public receptions where fans can gather to hear members of Razorback Athletics while enjoying free appetizers and drinks. Photo opportunities with the Razorback and Big Red spirit teams as well as other Razorback giveaways will be available.

Fans will have the opportunity to enter to win special prizes including free game tickets, game passes, autographed merchandise and special experiences. Various trophies will also be on display, showcasing some of Razorback’s great moments from the past year.

New this year at each stop, an official Razorback Road sign will be presented to community leaders as an opportunity to name a street in their town to highlight Razorback pride and spirit.

Jon Williams, the public address announcer for Razorback Women’s Basketball and Razorback Baseball, along with Matt Zimmerman, the color analyst for the Razorback Men’s Basketball radio broadcasts and co-host of the Razorback Daily podcast, are expected to serve as hosts for the events .
