Did you know that Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat was first gifted to Salman Khan? Here’s why he didn’t buy it

Salman Khan once revealed that he was indeed the first to be offered Mannat, but his father Salim Khan advised him against buying it.

In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan was asked about the one thing Shah Rukh Khan owned that he wished he had. He replied: “His bungalow (Mannat). But it came to my mind first when I had just left.

Explaining further why he didn’t buy the house, Salman said, “My father (film producer and screenwriter Salim Khan) said that it told me to say ghar mein tum karoge kya (that what will you do in such a big house?). I want to ask Shah Rukh, it says ghar mein karta kya hai tu (what is he doing in such a big house?).

Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat is widely considered a Bollywood tourist hotspot. Every day, many visitors gather in front of this extravagant property hoping to catch a glimpse of the iconic actor. SRK’s house, located in Bandra in Mumbai, is a coveted destination for many.

Mannat serves as the residence of Shah Rukh, his wife and interior designer Gauri Khan, and their three children – Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. Gauri personally designed the six-storey mansion, which is estimated to be worth around Rs 200 crore.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next film titled King, which stars his daughter Suhana Khan and is directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

On the other hand, Salman Khan will next be seen in Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is expected to hit the theaters next year on the occasion of Eid.
