THE BIBLE SPEAKS: Don’t get caught napping

The New York Times and the Washington Post won’t expect it and every major news outlet in the world will try to explain it, but there will be a day coming when every born again soul will be caught up to heaven and earth. chaos like never before. seen nor imagined will occur simultaneously throughout the world.

The Bible often speaks of the return of Christ, but it also tells us that no one knows the day or hour of His return. There is no prophecy that must be fulfilled before the rapture of the Church and so it is accurate to say that Jesus could call his children to heaven at any time and so we must be ready. In the chapter where our text is found today, the Apostle Paul writes that “the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” No one knows when a thief might break in and steal, but everyone needs to be ready and alert for when it might happen. You lock your doors before you go and probably keep a gun, baseball bat, or something by your bedside in case you hear someone lurking in the dark. If you knew the date and time the thief would break in, you wouldn’t worry about any of these things until the night of the known invasion of your home. However, not knowing means you have to be ready every night.

The world does not believe that Jesus will ever return. Many don’t even believe He came the first time. They are in darkness and asleep spiritually. Christians, however, are described as sons of light and sons of the day and not of night or darkness (see 1 Thess. 5:5). We KNOW that Jesus will return and should “look for the blessed hope and glorious appearing” of Christ (Titus 2:13). The Bible tells us what will happen during the 7 years of Tribulation and we who are “awake” should see that the stage is being set and the actors are rehearsing, and that the current world situation is aligning with the end times events. Israel is in the homeland that God gave her and the world is closing ranks against her, as the prophets predicted. Globalists are gaining ground in most countries and are ready to take advantage of another global calamity like Covid 19 to usurp national sovereignty. The sudden disappearance of Christians all over the world would be such an opportunity for the emergence of a world leader.

The return of Christ is near. Don’t get caught napping, but be vigilant and warn anyone sleeping to wake up and get ready.
