Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan will make a campaign stop in Jasper on Saturday, May 18. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will feature a fish fry with FREE food for all attendees.

It will be located on the vacant lot located on the southwest corner of North Wheeler Street (Highway 96) at the corner of East Lamar Street.

Phelan, who is our current State Representative for District 21, is preparing for a runoff election against his challenger David Covey of Orange.

Early voting in the runoff election will take place Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24, and runoff day will be Tuesday, May 28.
