To celebrate Mother’s Day 2024, Fischer announces the release of a three-part video series that documents freeride skier and Fischer athlete Lynsey Dyer’s personal journey through motherhood as a professional athlete. The Live To Ski series with Lynsey Dyer is now available on YouTube.

Part 1 of Live To Ski with Lynsey Dyer kicks off with a career retrospective that highlights Dyer’s extensive freeride career, from skiing the spines and gullies of Alaska to arcing through powder bottomless. Part two discusses her decision to become pregnant, the joys she feels about her decision to become a mother, and her fears about what it might mean for her athletic career. The final installment of the series documents her transition to motherhood and how she combines her skiing career with her new role as caregiver to her daughter Lainey.

“The longer I am in professional skiing, the more responsibility I feel to represent the feminine in nature as a mother,” says Dyer of the new space she occupies in the ski world. “There need to be more female voices in the mountains to invite people in and help them feel safe as they are. As fun and important as big lines and stiff, scary tunes are to show us how much more we are capable of than we thought, there are many other important ways to connect with nature that need to be honored. I am more motivated than ever to take up space as a mother to continue to foster community and help others recognize that they also have a place here.

Fischer is proud to support Dyer in her journey through the motherhood process as a professional skier and Jonathan Jay, Fischer Content Marketing Manager and director and editor of the film notes on Live to Ski with Lynsey Dyer: “Lynsey has a legacy incredible in freeride. ski world, and she continues to make history as a new mom in this area too. It was great to help her share her story through this video series, and everyone at Fischer is excited to see what the future holds for Lynsey and her family.
