Boston’s National Bike to Work Day Festival celebrates National Bike to Work Day. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks for riding your bike today.” » The City wants to make the experience fun for experienced and new cyclists by hosting convoys and a festival at City Hall from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 17, with free coffee and breakfast!

Humphreys Street Studios will host Spring Dorchester Open Studios this weekend

Humphreys Street Studios will host this spring’s Dorchester Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Humphreys Street Studios (HSS), now majority owned/operated by artists as affordable artist workspaces in perpetuity, are located at 11-13 Humphreys Street in Uphams Corner, Dorchester. Visiting the Open Studios is a wonderful way to meet local artists, learn about their craft, and see their working practices behind the scenes. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, learn how art is created, and even purchase original works directly from the artists on site. At Humphreys Street Studios, visitors will meet painters, sculptors, jewelers, printmakers, graphic designers, photographers, carpenters, blacksmiths and more. HSS also opened a space on site for other Dorchester artists without studios to exhibit. You can get all the details here.

Pierogis, Polka + Polish culture and history – Polish Festival 2024

Enjoy a day of culture, entertainment, food, drink, music and more! Sunday May 19, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., THE Polish American Citizens Cluband the Polish American and Community Heritage Foundation (PAHCF) will host Polish Fest Boston 2024. This annual family-friendly event allows people throughout the greater Boston area to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Polish community. This event will feature the Baltic Poka Band, DJ Mariusz Wierzibicki, Boston’s Krakowiak Polish Dancers, plus vendors, artisans, food and beer! The event is located just a six-minute walk from Andrew Square Station (Red Line) and buses #16, #17, #18, #10 and #5.

Register to participate in the Dot Day Road Race – June 2

Put on your sneakers and take part in the Dot Day Road Race 2024 on Sunday June 2! You can register here ! This family-friendly 5K is for all ages and abilities and starts and ends at the Blarney Stone Restaurant just before the annual Dot Day Parade! Registration for adults and teens ages 12 and up is just $30 if you register in advance. Registration for youth aged 11 and under costs $15. (Same-day registration costs $35 for ages 12 and up and $20 for children!) You can learn more here!
