App State Announces “Welcome to the Rock” Fan Contest

BOONE, North Carolina — App State Athletics is excited to present the ultimate fan contest that gives Mountaineer fans a unique opportunity to participate in football introductory videos at home games this fall.

App State is looking for #AppNation’s most energetic, fiery and outrageously fanatical members to lead the way with the iconic “Welcome to The Rock” cheer.

Fans can submit videos from May 15 to June 30. Winning submissions will be shown at the end of the home game intro videos, culminating in the pre-game ceremonies this fall.

The winners will be informed in mid-July. Winners will also receive a prize and be recognized on the game field where their video is shown.

Fan Video Guidelines:

• Be creative!
• Shoot using a tripod or prop your camera up so it stays in place while filming.
• Must be filmed in horizontal format (16:9). Videos in vertical format will not be selected.
• Wear App State gear and colors (videos submitted with the opposing team’s colors, logos, and offensive or harmful language will not be selected).
• Videos should be no longer than 5-10 seconds and the only words spoken should be “Welcome to The Rock.”
• .MP4, .MOV or .AVI files will be accepted. Submit videos here.
