Gunman wanted after opening fire on Riverside County deputy – NBC Los Angeles

A shooter who opened fire on a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputy during a traffic stop has been sought by authorities.

The shooting was reported Tuesday evening when shots were fired at a deputy’s home near Pats Ranch Road and 68th Street in Jurupa Valley. The deputy was not injured.

No arrests were reported as of Wednesday morning. The shooter’s car was in the bed of the Santa Ana River, a few kilometers from the scene of the shooting.

Video shows law enforcement officers, including at least one armored SWAT vehicle, at the scene.
