Zayn’s “Room Under the Stairs”: Stream Now

Zayn is back with his long-awaited new album, Bedroom under the stairs.

The 15-track album, arriving Friday (May 17), includes lead single “What I Am,” as well as additional tracks including “Alienated,” “My Woman,” Stardust, “Something in the Water,” “Mer Fuchsia” and more. Bedroom under the stairs marks Zayn’s first full solo project since 2021 Nobody listens. After leaving One Direction in 2015, the singer launched his solo music career with the 2016 film. My spirit and I continued with those of 2018 Icarus Falls.

The star delved into the country world for the new album, telling Nylon earlier this month that he loves the depth of the genre’s music. “People are looking for a little more depth in the lyrics. In the Top 40, a lot of mainstream music seems a little bland. The songs are really fiery. You know what I mean? They are eye-catching. They go on the radio and do their job, but people want a little more,” he shared.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting year for Zayn, who will take on a triple role in the upcoming animated feature. 10 livesfor which he will write new music and perform a duet with The Bridgerton Chronicles star Simone Ashley. Variety reported that Zayn and Ashley will both star in the film, in which the singer will play “tough twins Cameron and Kirk,” with Ashley voicing a student named Rose.
