Roseanne blames Michelle Obama for ABC sitcom’s cancellation

Nearly a year after being fired from ABC following racist tweets, comedian Roseanne Barr believes Michelle Obama is to blame.

Barr’s controversial tweet compared former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett to the Muslim Brotherhood and The Planet of the Apes. She apologized for the remark, but that wasn’t enough to stop former ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey from giving her the boot.

In a new interview with Times UK, Barr says she believes Mrs. Obama gave Dungey the order to let her go.

“(Michelle) said, ‘This tweet is unforgivable.’ That’s what I was told, and I tend to believe it, because the woman who fired me now works with the Obamas at Netflix.

Dungey is now developing original programming for the streaming giant, including future content from the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions.

“I should have written it backwards,” she said of the offensive tweet. “He came out dyslexic. This should have been the case: “Valerie Jarrett’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood have now allowed the Iranian government to remain, as in the film. Planet of the Apes.’”

The comedian also believes ABC was unhappy with his support of President Donald Trump.

“They hate powerful women and powerful, deplorable women and I consider myself deplorable,” she said. “Deplorable is the greatest thing Hillary (Clinton) has ever called us, because it empowered a revolution – we are deplorable to her kind. Of course she finds all working class people deplorable, because they are the ones who elected Trump.”
