Cancellations on the Red Funnel Vehicle Ferry route

An engine problem has led to the cancellation of some Red Funnel ferries this evening (Saturday).

The route between East Cowes and Southampton is facing problems, with the 4pm and 7pm times from Southampton and the 5.30pm and 8.30pm from East Cowes affected so far.

Red Funnel said the problems were due to an ongoing technical issue with the Aft Voith on Red Eagle, adding “we apologize for any inconvenience caused to your journey.”

Red Eagle is currently docked at Town Quay, Southampton.

Red Falcon continues to serve the route.
