Hawai’i canceled after 3 seasons

NCIS: Hawai’i has been canceled after three seasons, with CBS confirming it will not return.

According to Deadline, the series will end next month (May 6) after the final episode of its third season, which was not originally intended to be its conclusion.

This means fans will likely be left with a cliffhanger and unresolved conflicts, with its cancellation apparently due to subdued viewing figures.

The show followed Special Agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and her team at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, marking the first time an NCIS show was led by a female lead.

“It’s an honor to be able to contribute to this incredible franchise and to do so as its first female lead, it means more to me than I can ever express. It shows the incredible evolution and longevity that NCIS continues to offer to his fans,” Lachey said just a few weeks ago.

“Not only with our actors but also with the fans. The NCIS franchise has a presence around the world, bringing people together to watch and chat, while providing comfort and entertainment, which is what you look for when diving into a series.

Even though Hawai’i might be canceled, there’s still plenty of NCIS content on the way, with Brian Dietzen recently saying the season finale of the original series would be special, saying, “As usual with NCIS, it will leave a lot of things.” of people with their mouths wide open after the credits started,” he said.

“I think everyone is pretty darn proud of what we’ve put together. There are plenty of them in store there. It’s only a 10-episode season, right? It just feels like each of our writers only gets one at bat, and they’re really fighting for the fences, and they’re not disappointing.

NCIS is broadcast on CBS in the USA. Seasons 1-20 are streaming Disney+ UK.
