Scottish residents in shock after ‘insane’ thug shoots crossbow through house windows

COPS launched an investigation after thugs fired a crossbow through the windows of houses in two consecutive attacks, leaving residents “extremely shocked”.

The vandalism was described as “senseless” by detectives who said it was fortunate no one was injured.

A crossbow bolt was aimed at a house in Orbison Place, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, at around 12.45am on Sunday, shattering a window.

A few hours earlier, between 5 p.m. Saturday and 3:10 p.m. Sunday, a crossbow bolt was fired at another house located on the same road.

Officers are treating the incidents as related.

Detective Sergeant Barry Convery, from CID, said: “It is fortunate that no one was injured as a result of this senseless behavior.

“The owners were extremely shocked and those responsible should consider the impact this has on others.

“We are treating these two incidents as linked.

“We are asking anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible to help us with our ongoing investigations.”
