Volunteers gather ahead of the revitalization of the Memorial High School Field House in Jackson

JACKSON, New Jersey—Volunteers and community leaders came together on Sunday to develop plans to revitalize the playground at Jackson Memorial High School. As the district faces severe cuts in aid, volunteers are rolling up their sleeves to help. They need $30,000 to complete the project and are fundraising before the next project.

“I want to thank everyone who came out today and made this kickoff a success,” said Council President Jennifer Kuhn.

Jackson Memorial High School is expected to benefit from significant improvements to its football field concession stand, football field and locker rooms through a collaborative effort involving the public and private sectors. The initiative was launched Friday by the Jackson School Board, City Council President Jennifer L. Kuhn, Councilman Mordechai Burnstein, local police and firefighters, the Jackson Education Foundation, the Department of Public Works and numerous sponsors and private volunteers.

The project aims to engage the community through volunteer work and financial donations from local businesses, alumni and residents to improve the aging facilities. Contributions will improve the quality of facilities, benefiting athletes, fans and community members.

Various sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from Bronze ($750) to Gold ($3,000), with benefits including signage, media mentions and exclusive naming rights for major donors.

“We are hosting a special fundraiser for our student-athletes,” said Council President Jennifer Kuhn. “Together, we can empower our young athletes to reach their full potential and create a better future for our community.” »

Sponsors will also receive social media recognition, event banners and special plaques. The overall goal is to renovate vital spaces, build community pride, support student development, and make much-needed facility improvements. Tradespeople are also encouraged to offer their services voluntarily.
